Let's start with 2020!![]() Hello to you all! I do hope that you have been keeping safe and well! It certainly has been more than a while. My last post was almost two years ago and I did not even realise it. I guess we all were battling to figure out our new way of living life with the still raging pandemic which we now have to learn how to live with. It has been a busy year so far and we are only in the second month and about time for an update of what has been happening in the intervening years. We started 2020 on a high with our first event in Hull for Dr Tonye and were booked for two UK based events and three destination events as at February . Plans were well underfoot for Bromley Park Hotel, Dubrovnik in Croatia, a corporate event in Nigeria, a Birmingham Men's fellowship pilgrimage to Jerusalem and a girls trip to Abu Dhabi, when Covid19 came calling. This was going to be "that year"! I had advertised for staff as well. On 17th March I did a second site visit and a few days after was lock down and uncertainty followed. Has it been difficult? Definitely! We did get requests to host Zoom events but chose not to. Eddiiez is all about people, personalities and face to face interactions. So we shut shop. However, we got requests for lockdown T-shirts, then event T-shirts for photoshoots and we were back in business albeit a different kind! Lockdown Parties were restricted but we were allowed to work under guidance and we did so with the Photoshoots. Thank you to the high profile photographer Tino Antoniou for covering this on our behalf. You can see his work here. Then on 14th August was a 50th Birthday Garden Party in North London with our T-shirts for guests and life jazz music provided by Mojito Sax. The event scheduled to hold at Bromley Park Hotel went head with reduced guest numbers as per the government guidance at the time and was held at the celebrant's garden on the 28th of August. On 4th October was another celebration in Wembley and the cocktails were delivered by Christie at Ravissant Cocktails who in our February 2020 post had mentioned having bottled cocktails as part of her 5 year plan. COVID made that a reality much sooner than expected. This trend continued in October 2020 till our last photoshoot in November for a 40th birthday celebration where our T-Shirts also made an appearance and Ravissant's once again provided their signature bottled drinks. Lockdown came upon us again meant we once again had to retreat. In the interim period I got on with courses in Events and Project Management while waiting for the next opening that I refer to as freedom day. Along Came 2021! Things began to pick up again and it was Stay- Cations! Our clients were presented with alternate options on celebrations and we had fun seeking gorgeous venues, arranging travel logistics, cakes, catering was done by the venues and balloons became a fixture. In May was freedom and an ease to the restrictions, my 53rd Birthday was held in my garden with my family and a few guests and the cake was provided by one of my favourite cakemakers Ollie, the decor was provided by Fash Events who also contributed to our post in February! I had a chandelier hanging from a dome in my garden. It was fun! In October we had 10 days to plan a 50th birthday party for up to 100 guests and we had Ben Audu on the sax. You can read more about Ben in our February 2020 post. , DJ Ladi thrilled guests with old school and Afro Beats and the feedback has been fantastic, guests had a week to respond to the RSVP and they all turned up. The 360 video booth was a feature they all enjoyed and some of the images are on our Instagram page. The image above is of the celebrant and her feedback to me was how everything looked so organised that she was able to truly enjoy herself and her time with family and friends. Monaco! October 2021 was also a trip to Monaco for a reunion and included Helicopter transfers, 5 star hotels and Limo rides! I shared a few clips of this on our Insta-story. I have been remiss in not updating the website and our Instagram account with recent images and aim to do this within the next month. I guess because I became so reliant on What's App stories that I built up a small community over there. Our last event was in November and an 18th Milestone Celebration. Guest were lodged at the lovely Marriot's Forest of Arden Hotel and Country Club. With Photoshoot and Dinner for Celebrants and guests at the gorgeous SKY BY THE WATER restaurant, located in the Genting Hotel Resorts World in Birmingham. This was planned remotely and all vendors chosen delivered as planned. The feedback from the celebrant, her parents and her guests have been fantastic. The original plan was for a destination event but with varying restriction around Europe, the cost of tests at the time, I suggested using a UK venue, accessible by train, with an itinerary planned for the celebrant and her guests to include sight seeing, shopping and Spa it was as good as a destination trip minus our lovely UK weather. Last Stop 2022! This year has even been better, not as many events booked in yet but the ones that we have coming up are all on track and certain to be fabulous!
Our first booking was the end of January, for a family staycation at the luxurious Danesfield House Hotel and Spa with a photoshoot, dinner and sightseeing booked for a Dad and his twin sons who turned 18. It was planned as a boy/men’s trip. We organised the purchase and delivery of their gifts, with lots of other surprises suited for young men their age. The cakes and decor set up and all that was required was for them to have fun! All of the planning and delivery was done remotely as well. We have two destination events coming up, group travel packages and two UK based events. In addition I am also outsourcing my services to a well known group and the skill set I have acquired during the lockdown has been invaluable. My first assignment was to source a venue for corporate executives and luxury gift packages as well as plan a programme for their visit to the UK. The budget I have been given to work with made it such an easy task. I am busier now than I have ever been and loving every single moment of it. I cannot wait to be able to share all of these experiences with you as they unfold. My task assigned to myself as I write this, is to be more proactive with updating this website, adding more blog posts and revamping my Instagram. At the moment I am just basking in the growth that I see in myself and in Eddiiez and I hope that you continue to stay on this journey with me. Despite the upheaval thrown at us by the pandemic, we are still standing and clients are still entrusting us with planning and managing their special days. We are a small privately owned business, we do not advertise and are recommended via word of mouth. We plan your event like it is ours, we ensure that no matter how big or small your event may be, that we have got you covered from the minute you contact us till the close of the celebration day. We gather as much information as possible and our risk analysis is second to none with back up plans for any eventualities. We involve you as much or as less as you would like with a list of trusted vendors for all occasions you cannot go wrong when you choose us to manage your event. I am grateful to all who continue to support and build us up and thank you! Have a fabulous week! Eddiiez

Wow!! I cant believe it's been two years already since lock down. It's surely been a challenging times and we are grateful for life. Glad we are now free again to enjoy socialising the traditional way, face-to-face!! Well done for revamping your skills: not that you had to, cos you set the bar so high!!!! We sure missed you on the scenes and I'm looking forward to planning my next event with your company.
